Bridesmaids Dresses: A Mismatched Melody

Yes, it’s a risk. However, the payoff can be major. Mismatched bridesmaids dresses: just another way to add flavor and interest to your wedding. To be certain one of your gals dosen’t end up in an honorary wedding dress or a skin tight mini, give them a guideline- such as a particular designer collection and be sure to let them know just how formal the dress should be.

Giving your favorite ladies the luxury of relaxation in a dress of their choice not only makes for happy bridesmaids, but for fabulous photos as well. Check it out.

Happy Anniversary!

I cannot believe I have been married a year. Oh. WOW. So here is a little card I made for my hubby in celebration of all things Ty and Jennifer Claire. A heart filled with graphics symbolizing some of our favorite things……boxers, tennis, the fedora, wine, Texas, the Cross.

I would love to start creating personalized cards for my clients. This was way too much fun.

Tuesdays Table

With fall approaching, I figured I might as well get one last bright pink and mint green Tuesday’s table in while I can. As always, the table is filled with somethings old, somethings new and a few Memento Designs goodies as well.

For a little added flare, I used an oversized sheet of paper from Paper Source as the backdrop and then created a few classic black and white signs to balance the playful colors seen in the other elements.

For more details on where to find items on this weeks table, keep reading and happy Tuesday!

Amber + Robert: Wedding Programs and Table No. Cards

This lovely bride contacted me back in June to design a custom wedding map and I was so thrilled to continue working with her and create their programs and table number cards.  Amber and Robert, who actually tied the knot this past weekend, have super elegant taste and chose to accent their wedding day details with one of my favorite colors, dusk blue.  I especially adore the swirly font and the scroll format for the programs. So lovely. Congrats Amber and Robert!

Kallie + Ryan: Wedding Invitation

Elegant. Bright. Fresh. These three words describe this couple and their invitation suite. Designing for Kallie and Ryan was so easy with their fabulous ideas and focused vision on color and style. We tied in the same soft orange and coral shades as well as the monogram design used on their save the date, which made for a very cohesive and gorgeous look. I think this invitation is a great reflection of how fun and refreshing their wedding will be. Thank you so much Kallie and Ryan and congratulations!

Anthropologie Wedding Line

Hold on. I need a minute for air…

Anthropologie, my ultimate inspiration for EVERYTHING, is launching their very own bridal collection. True to all things Anthro, the dresses will of course be feminine, distinctively ethereal and well, gorgeous. With prices starting at $750, the collection is sure to be a hit. I can.not.wait.

Tuesdays Table

This weeks table was inspired by two things: Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home and purple. Let me explain.

Last Saturday I visited Laurie Anna’s new space and couldn’t believe my eyes. I was like a kid in a candy store. Everything about Laurie Anna, her staff and her shop is simply divine. As always, I found TONS of amazing new treasures (a carload in fact) and left feeling inspired. I’m loving the new oversized spools of string and the crystal place card holder that doubles as a tiny flower vase. Also from Laurie Anna’s: vintage book pages, cloche lids and cotton drawstring bag. These are just a few goodies of many to come that I will be sharing with you!

Purple: normally a color I shy away from but have a new appreciation for after working with a client who has a deeper meaning and sincere approach to the color. Cheers and happy Tuesday!

The Knot Pick! Boutonnieres

So ecstatic to have have the boutonnieres from our wedding selected as a Knot Pick!  All credit goes to Heidi from Lilac and Co., who did the most amazing job on our florals. LOVE her. And of course, thank you again and again to our photographer Jenny Martell for capturing every minute of it!

Custom Wedding Map: Destination New England

I adore this new map design. Thanks to the bride’s inspiration, we tried something new: using a vintage floral pattern as the background. It turned out fabulous and nothing short of unique. The destination is simply breathtaking….full of nature and gorgeous scenery. Needless to say, my brother (the artist) and I had a blast creating this map for B and Terry.

Feature Sneak Peek: Arden Prucha Photography

Just recently I had the joy of working with my dear friend & talented industry associate, Arden Prucha of Arden Prucha Photography. She is smart, a total visionary & stunning to say the least so I was beyond giddy to have her photograph me & my space. To see more photos from her “Sneak Peek” post & tons of her incredible art captured on camera, check out Arden’s blog. And prepare for greatness.

Profile Silhouettes

There’s something to be said for any decorative element that not only has a multitude of uses but can withstand the test of time….hundreds of years in fact. Silhouettes first became popular in the 17th century as a cheap and quick art form and have now evolved into a modern memento reflective of the Victorian era. Used in invitations, framed artwork and textiles, silhouettes are clean and versatile. Personal and vintage. The perfect adornment.

Fashion meets Heaven. Girl meets Obsession.

Who wants to play dress up and step into a world of pure girly girl bliss? After viewing these dresses by Maria Lucia, I bet you do. And I do too.

Everything down to the last detail about these designs has left me quite speechless…but I will say this: If I were a dress, this is what I’d look like.
