Real Wedding: Miranda and Grant

So excited to share these oh so dreamy, vintage inspired wedding photos with you! Miranda and Grant were married last month and as you have seen from previous posts, I had the pleasure of designing their wedding paper goods and accessories. Twinty Photography did an exquisite job of capturing all of the romantic, decorative details that made this wedding simply breathtaking. If you’re a fan of all things rich in vintage detail and character, then you’re in for a treat.

Tuesdays Table

I love old books and for one reason or another, I have been buying them like crazy lately. They make me happy.

Colorful vintage hardbacks are a great way to add a splash of brightness to a neutral setting without breaking the bank. I find most of mine at thrift stores or Half Price books for about $3 each. So on the old farm table we have some things old, somethings new and a handful of Memento Designs paper goods and accessories as well. Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home: A Vintage Farmhouse Christmas

This Saturday, Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home will be hosting their first annual “Vintage Farmhouse Christmas” event and unveil their holiday decor for the season. Am I going? YES! Alex + Rich: Save the Date

Alex and Rich. Ahhhhh. So lovely to be working with this couple on their wedding paper goods. The inspiration behind their save the date was one of their fabulous engagement photos and the wedding day colors: eggplant, paris blue and a rich ivory. The packaged look came out so sophisticated and well…pretty pretty pretty. These two love birds will be making it official this April at an amazing outdoor venue in Austin. I cannot wait to begin working on their invitations, table cards, programs, etc. Stay tuned for more of their custom collection!

I Love Anthro. Don’t you?

Whether it be a cardigan with coin purse pockets, a cuff bracelet covered in buttons or a vintage inspired fedora….Anthropologie has it all. My favorite place to decorate self, home and life.

Here are just a few of my ideas…

Jennifer + Randall: Wedding Invitation

Just like Jennifer and Randall, this invitation suite is one of  a kind. Jennifer is a clinical therapist/professor while Randall is a Captain in the US Army…so this couple is worthy of all admiration.  It was clear from the beginning that they wanted something that no one had ever seen before. Fun, nontraditional and patriotic explains this invitation look and their personalities. We decided to use typography and vintage colors in an antique finish as the focus of the design and being that many of their guests are from out of town, the “Howdy from Dallas” postcard couldn’t be more perfect. To top it all off, a custom designed wedding map. Such a great memento for guests. Thank you so much Jenn and Randy for being beyond incredible to work with. Congratulations!

Tuesday’s Table

Sorry everyone…I know it is a little late in the day to be posting Tuesday’s Table. Believe it or not, I actually put everything together and take the pictures on Tuesday. After all, isn’t that the whole idea??

So, this weeks table is inspired by stationary. As a little girl, I used to collect pretty paper and never write on it. Stickers that never got peeled off the sheet and pencils that I wouldn’t dare sharpen. Apparently, I still do that to this day and it’s no secret. My oldest (not in age) and dearest friend recently sent me a package filled with amazing goodies that she knew I would love. Why did she do this? Because she. is. awesome. So Hayley, you are going to have to help me out with where you found some of these generous treasures!

And for all of you that are a fan of good people with amazing hearts and would like to show your support for Hayley and her struggle with breast cancer,  you should check out her website HERE. Happy Tuesday!

Inspiration: Blush and Chocolate

A friend of mine stumbled across this board earlier today and of course immediately sent it over when she saw my lovely bridesmaids and I in the collage. Pretty great!  To read the post and gather other fabulous wedding ideas, visit groomsoldseparately.com.

Tuesdays Table

Every week something different catches my eye that usually serves as the inspiration behind Tuesday’s Table. It might be a piece of stationary, a vintage teacup, or a scrap of fabric. This week, it was a pear. Strange? Maybe a little but they say one can find inspiration in anything, so here it is. Selecting your favorite in season fruit as the reoccuring element for an event (I’m thinking outdoor wedding or kitchen shower) can really make for a lovely, budget friendly theme.

New Memento Accessory

Layer upon layer of petals make up this new lovely flower piece. I chose shades of deep purple with a hint of burgundy for the color, which is just perfect for fall. With a vintage pearl cluster jewel gracing the center and a soft cascading plum feather to frame the face, this accessory is both elegant and high fashion. Perfect for the girl looking to make a statement.

And hands down to my GORGEOUS model Selwa, who just makes everything around her glow. A true beauty, inside and out.
