I love when a client comes to me with a fabulous vision yet gives me free reign to “do my thing.” This is exactly the approach bride Tara took with her invitation suite. The inspiration: 1940′s, navy and gold and pinstripes. The overall look turned out to be a perfect mix of traditional, vintage elegance. For extra nostalgia, I incorporated the vintage airmail graphics and postage stamp monogram. I simply adore their custom illustrated map too, which includes the high school where the couple first met. Thank you so much Tara and Zac for the opportunity to design such a fun invitation!

Wanna feel like a modern day Cinderella on your big day? Complete your look by slipping on a pair of fabulous heels that are fit for a princess.
Among all of the options out there, here are a few of my favorites. So what do you think? What’s your shoe style?

Double the pleasure. Double the prettiness. How often can you find the same shoe in 2 styles? This is the best of both worlds.
Guiseppe Zanotti

I came across these heels in Nordstroms and they about brought me to tears. Embellished with leather and tulle, this pair can absolutely be the focal point of your bridal look. Art-via-footwear.
Net-A-Porter

The glamourous Valentino. Can you go wrong?

Love this heel by Max Studio, especially considering it is on sale right now at Piperlime.com for $49.99!
Also available in ivory.

Crystal embellished lovelies by Christian Louboutin.

The oh so delicate and feminine “Lavish” heel. And the symmetrically wrapped ankle strap? A huge plus for all night long comfort.
Kate Spade

A mid-heel classic with vintage brooch by Badgely Mischa. Also a “Rachel Zoe Pick” so I. love. them.

They say the magic is in the details…and when it comes to making your dream wedding a reality, this is absolutely the truth! Of course for my big day, I focused on the paper goods to reinforce our vintage-garden theme. One of my most beloved creations- the stitched burlap ceremony programs and it is an honor to have the DIY tutorial featured on Intimate Weddings today!
Be sure to visit Intimate Weddings blog for information on materials and DIY instructions! And HUGE thank you to the oh-so-incredible Jenny Martell Photography for the dreamy images!

This kitchen shower ensemble has to be one of my most favorite designs yet! Hostess Julie started by giving me the brides color palette, which included about 6-7 very bright and bold colors. I proceeded to probe for more details (as I sometimes do…) and was informed that the bride is the “artsy-whimsy” type. My kinda gal! I knew exactly what do.
The invitation was mailed to guests with a recipe card for them to write down their favorite dish and bring to the shower for the bride. The day of paper goods included a custom coffee menu, “Recipe for a Good Marriage” advice cards and tags for the cookie mix filled mason jar favors. So precious. Thank you Julie and congrats to the bride!
