Inspiration: Rustic Southern Style

This South Carolina wedding is the epitome of casual, personalized elegance. You really have to look at the pictures several times just to catch all of the intricate details that make this wedding incredibly special. The “Just Married” script written at the top of the entryway, vintage furniture, floral tea cups, rustic chandeliers….really?? And the icing on the cake: red velvet cupcakes and homemade desserts. Yum.

Everything about this wedding is so cozy and comfortable. It just feels like home.

Real Wedding: Miranda and Grant

So excited to share these oh so dreamy, vintage inspired wedding photos with you! Miranda and Grant were married last month and as you have seen from previous posts, I had the pleasure of designing their wedding paper goods and accessories. Twinty Photography did an exquisite job of capturing all of the romantic, decorative details that made this wedding simply breathtaking. If you’re a fan of all things rich in vintage detail and character, then you’re in for a treat.

Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home: A Vintage Farmhouse Christmas

This Saturday, Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home will be hosting their first annual “Vintage Farmhouse Christmas” event and unveil their holiday decor for the season. Am I going? YES! In true Laurie Anna fashion, the store will be completely transformed for Christmas and it’s a must to have first dibs on her breathtaking treasures. Hope to see you there!

I Love Anthro. Don’t you?

Whether it be a cardigan with coin purse pockets, a cuff bracelet covered in buttons or a vintage inspired fedora….Anthropologie has it all. My favorite place to decorate self, home and life.

Here are just a few of my ideas…

Inspiration: Blush and Chocolate

A friend of mine stumbled across this board earlier today and of course immediately sent it over when she saw my lovely bridesmaids and I in the collage. Pretty great!  To read the post and gather other fabulous wedding ideas, visit groomsoldseparately.com.

Bridesmaids Dresses: A Mismatched Melody

Yes, it’s a risk. However, the payoff can be major. Mismatched bridesmaids dresses: just another way to add flavor and interest to your wedding. To be certain one of your gals dosen’t end up in an honorary wedding dress or a skin tight mini, give them a guideline- such as a particular designer collection and be sure to let them know just how formal the dress should be.

Giving your favorite ladies the luxury of relaxation in a dress of their choice not only makes for happy bridesmaids, but for fabulous photos as well. Check it out.

Anthropologie Wedding Line

Hold on. I need a minute for air…

Anthropologie, my ultimate inspiration for EVERYTHING, is launching their very own bridal collection. True to all things Anthro, the dresses will of course be feminine, distinctively ethereal and well, gorgeous. With prices starting at $750, the collection is sure to be a hit. I can.not.wait.

Profile Silhouettes

There’s something to be said for any decorative element that not only has a multitude of uses but can withstand the test of time….hundreds of years in fact. Silhouettes first became popular in the 17th century as a cheap and quick art form and have now evolved into a modern memento reflective of the Victorian era. Used in invitations, framed artwork and textiles, silhouettes are clean and versatile. Personal and vintage. The perfect adornment.

Fashion meets Heaven. Girl meets Obsession.

Who wants to play dress up and step into a world of pure girly girl bliss? After viewing these dresses by Maria Lucia, I bet you do. And I do too.

Everything down to the last detail about these designs has left me quite speechless…but I will say this: If I were a dress, this is what I’d look like.

Color Inspiration: Blue and White

Blue and white china, hydrangeas and delectable sweet treats. This inspiration board literally melts my heartstrings. Peaceful and pretty…polite and poised. Utterly gorgeous.

The Perfect Marriage of Color

While discussing wedding color choices with bride Tristan the other day, this beautiful palette made us both melt. Everything came to life when we stopped imagining the ensemble and began placing pretty elements from the studio together in this romantic little grouping. Ahhhhh…..so weak at the knees over this lovely combo.

Invitation Inspiration: Lace and Doilies

It is always a pleasure to work with those who inspire creativity and freedom in the design process. Today I put a few looks together for a bride who is looking for a classic romantic style invitation style built around lace and shades of ivory and gold. Paired with a few new hair accessories I am working on, the photos came out quite dreamy….so full of texture and romantic neutrals. LOVE.
