Sneak Peek: Brand New Invitation Designs in the Making

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have been hard at work on some lovely designs lately. In addition to a digital proof, I always send clients photographs of their invitation when it entails extras such as lace, ribbon, a tag, and other embellishments. This gives the client a visual of what the invitation looks like assembled and how it will appear when guests open the pretty little package!

Below is a sneak peek of a few new designs in the works. Interested in more details? Simply send an email with your event information. I would love to hear from you!

Be sure to stay tuned for the finished, complete looks of these designs + more!

HOT off the Press: Die Cut Kitchen Shower-Tea Party Invitations

Hello everyone! A brand new design viewed first by none other than YOU! Perfect for a kitchen shower or tea party, this invitation features a chevron pattern in a few of Pantone’s top color choices for this year. In addition to the emerald green and nectarine, a blush and gold design are also seen in the photos (two shades of pretty I just can’t live without!)

When designing this invitation, I had a few different types in mind:  the be-spoke bride hoping to stock the kitchen at her next shower, the modern mommy hosting a tea party for the gals….the invitation is perfect for any stylish soiree.

Additional patterns and colors also available.

Interesting in ordering? Please send an email with your event details!

New York Inspired Save the Date Invitation

I loved designing this save the date invitation for sweet Carolyn and Dan. The inspiration? New York of course! A mix of fun typography and graphics in bright blue and green make up the front and back of the design.

Their wedding style? Carolyn spoke the words “country club chic- a little preppy with an elements of whimsical fun” and I knew just what do to. What great inspiration!

I cannot wait to share their wedding invitation suite as well. Stay tuned!

Featured! Vintage Salomon Farm Wedding on Style Me Pretty

Here is a wedding you are sure to be inspired by. Filled with handcrafted details, one of a kind decor, and that sweet, rustic charm that we love, I just continue to ooh and awe over the personal touches that flood this event. It is no wonder it was one of my absolute favorite weddings and also featured on Style Me Pretty!

Working with Dawn on her wedding paper goods was truly a creative endeavor. We spent many months collaborating on her invitation design and working to create something that was truly reflective of her big day. We knew we had to incorporate lace, burlap, kraft paper and “the chair.” The chair? Yep! Over time, Dawn collected 120 vintage chairs for the seating at her wedding. She painted most the them aqua (her colors were coral and aqua) and they served as the most beautiful, bold backdrop for her rustic barn wedding. Her invitation ended up being something that could only be Dawn and Anthony’s.

Below are just a few of the GORGEOUS images from the big day taken by Bobbi and Mike.  To view more, visit the image gallery over at Style Me Pretty!

And I must add…since Dawn’s wedding she has started her own vintage china and furnishings rental business called Something Vintage Rentals. Check it out!

Dawn and Anthony- Vintage Chairs

The collection of vintage, hand painted chairs. Lace and burlap table cloths, distressed barn wood, clusters of crystal chandeliers….a sea a vintage prettiness that came together in the most perfect way.

Memento Designs- burlap wedding invitation

The wedding invitation and RSVP postcard. The invitation was backed in burlap fabric. The doily design on the RSVP tied in perfectly with the doily lined kraft brown envelopes. Also included in Dawn’s invitation package was a custom designed map. Will follow up with more images later!

The place cards at each seat tied in the invitation design and contained a personal note for every guest.

We made Dawn’s programs a multipage stacked format and again, incorporated the chair and flourishes from her invitation.
Each program was tied together with twine.

And the cake? Precious! I adore the little vintage birdies and lace details.

Again, I will follow up with more images of Dawn’s invitation design. Until then, enjoy!

Modern Guitar Baby Shower Invitation

A fresh and modern design in light blue, grey and deep aqua. Mommy-to-be has super hip taste and was hanging real guitars in the nursery. How fun is that?! I love this invitation because there is a hint of retro, a hint of modern and a dash of vintage. Below is the photo from mom’s Pinterest board that I used as inspiration when designing. You can see how I pulled from the color palette and geometric shape design seen on the ceiling.

Congrats to the new parents and thank you hostesses for the opportunity to design for the occasion!

Lauren + Brian: Lace Wedding Invitation Suite

Another gorgeous invitation suite, designed for Lauren and Brian who just recently tied the knot in Las Vegas! Each element is soft and luxurious…from the ivory lace and ribbon to the thermography printing and pearlescent champagne envelopes. What a beautiful ensemble for guests to open! I espeically love all of the flourish details and the hand illustrated map of Las Vegas. How fun is that?! I will have some more images of the map as well as the couples programs and other day of paper goods to come so stay tuned. Thank you and congrats Lauren and Brian!

Vintage Train Ticket Invitation

Simply adoring this new design which was created for a rehearsal dinner on the Napa Valley Wine Train. How amazing does that sound?! I drew my inspiration from authentic vintage train tickets and paired it with a kraft brown envelope to enhance that old world feel. Congratulations to Ryan and Allison and thank you for the opportunity to create such a fun invitation!

DOT Baby Boy Shower Invitation

This invitation was created for mommy to be Jamie, whose wedding invitations I designed last year! The inspiration behind the design was Alice Kennedy’s Portobello fabric collection. Fresh and sophisticated, Alice’s textiles add a beautiful pop of color to any room. LOVE. I chose to build off of the geometric dotted pattern….and about 1,000 green and white Photoshop circles later….voila!

Thank you so very much hostess with the mostess Lisa and congratulations once again Jamie! I am incredibly thankful to have clients as wonderful as the both of you.

New Love Stamps

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day.

USPS just came out with this years new Love Postage Stamp. It is graceful and perfectly suited for all romantic occasions. I love the swirly script used on this stamp and the bright red…a perfect way to add a pop of color to your envelopes.

In this photo, the newly released stamp is paired with few vintage Love stamps from my collection.

Erin & William: Rustic Texas Wedding Invitation

This is such a special and unique wedding suite I worked on with sweet bride Erin last summer.  We drew inspiration from their wedding venue, located in the Hill Country just outside of Austin and really wanted the invitation to reflect it’s casual elegance and rustic chic style.  Weathered-wood, aged tin, stained concrete floors and amazing Hill Country views…believe me, Vista West Ranch is simply.breathtaking.

My favorite part of this invitation? The envelope liners, which are original pages from one of my vintage books titled “The History of Texas.”  It’s all in the details when it comes to making a wedding invitation fresh and unique and this suite…truly one of a kind.

Princess Tea Party Baby Shower Invitations

When my lovely client asked me to design shower invitations for a baby girl, I was thrilled. Then she told me the theme: “Princess Tea Party.” Yes, I was like a little kid on Christmas. My goal was to create a design that was soft, elegant and celebratory of all things baby girl, but not childish. About 150 photoshop layers later, the design was complete. A mix of typography, vintage tea cups, crowns and castles make this design fit for the lil’ princess to be.

Thank you Alex and congratulations to Deanna and Jeremy!

Dear Friends invitation + Oh so dear decorating inspiration

Every year, my fabulous friend and client hosts a lovely “Dear Friends” holiday party.  Creating the invitations for the event is always a treat, as Lisa and I could not have a more similar taste for design. This year, the invitations were printed on 110 lb. Crane lettra and paired with a dark grey, metallic envelope. As you will see, the design is perfectly suited for the event setting….Lisa’s divine, vintage-chic cottage home.

Also created for the party were signs labeling all of the yummy food…

And so I MUST share a few photos of Lisa’s swoon worthy, make you want to melt home. Every nook and cranny is filled with unique treasures styled in a way that only Lisa knows how. It is a sight to be seen. And then dream about later.

A few (of many) perfectly placed focal points in the living room

The details just go on forever…even in the kitchen.

And to top it off, there is an adorable chicken coup in the backyard. Need I say more?

Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Pretty Things

I feel like it’s been ages since I last set aside a few hours to just play with pretty details….AND then share it with everyone! So what brought this on? Several of the brides I am currently designing for have an affinity for luxury, romantic details, and vintage touches. LOVE! Below are a handful of photos I took of various paper goods, textiles and embellishments to spark inspiration for their designs. I needed this creative therapy.

I will be back soon with some of my new work. There is so much to share. Thank you for dropping by!
