Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day.
USPS just came out with this years new Love Postage Stamp. It is graceful and perfectly suited for all romantic occasions. I love the swirly script used on this stamp and the bright red…a perfect way to add a pop of color to your envelopes.

In this photo, the newly released stamp is paired with few vintage Love stamps from my collection.

This is such a special and unique wedding suite I worked on with sweet bride Erin last summer. We drew inspiration from their wedding venue, located in the Hill Country just outside of Austin and really wanted the invitation to reflect it’s casual elegance and rustic chic style. Weathered-wood, aged tin, stained concrete floors and amazing Hill Country views…believe me, Vista West Ranch is simply.breathtaking.
My favorite part of this invitation? The envelope liners, which are original pages from one of my vintage books titled “The History of Texas.” It’s all in the details when it comes to making a wedding invitation fresh and unique and this suite…truly one of a kind.

When my lovely client asked me to design shower invitations for a baby girl, I was thrilled. Then she told me the theme: “Princess Tea Party.” Yes, I was like a little kid on Christmas. My goal was to create a design that was soft, elegant and celebratory of all things baby girl, but not childish. About 150 photoshop layers later, the design was complete. A mix of typography, vintage tea cups, crowns and castles make this design fit for the lil’ princess to be.
Thank you Alex and congratulations to Deanna and Jeremy!

Every year, my fabulous friend and client hosts a lovely “Dear Friends” holiday party. Creating the invitations for the event is always a treat, as Lisa and I could not have a more similar taste for design. This year, the invitations were printed on 110 lb. Crane lettra and paired with a dark grey, metallic envelope. As you will see, the design is perfectly suited for the event setting….Lisa’s divine, vintage-chic cottage home.

Also created for the party were signs labeling all of the yummy food…

And so I MUST share a few photos of Lisa’s swoon worthy, make you want to melt home. Every nook and cranny is filled with unique treasures styled in a way that only Lisa knows how. It is a sight to be seen. And then dream about later.

A few (of many) perfectly placed focal points in the living room

The details just go on forever…even in the kitchen.

And to top it off, there is an adorable chicken coup in the backyard. Need I say more?

Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you so much for stopping by.

I feel like it’s been ages since I last set aside a few hours to just play with pretty details….AND then share it with everyone! So what brought this on? Several of the brides I am currently designing for have an affinity for luxury, romantic details, and vintage touches. LOVE! Below are a handful of photos I took of various paper goods, textiles and embellishments to spark inspiration for their designs. I needed this creative therapy.
I will be back soon with some of my new work. There is so much to share. Thank you for dropping by!

Hello everyone! I am sorry I have been away for so long. The past few months have been a whirlwind! In August, my husband and I found a house that we couldn’t pass up, SO we decided to move. I spent weeks and weeks getting the house ready to sell and just the other day, we finally moved into our new home. I can’t wait to share pictures. And rest assure that I will have tons of room makeovers and DIY projects to share with you as well!
Now onto a new design that is very close to my heart! This invitation was created for a charity ball event benefiting The Susan G. Komen Foundation. It is a true honor to help sponsor the event and donate my design services for such an amazing cause.
The “Unmask the Cure” event is taking place Friday, November the 4th in Mckinney, Texas and I am really excited to attend. If you’re interested in going or would simply like to make a donation, you can do so by clicking here!

This new invitation is quite special…being that it was designed for my amazing grandparents in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary. SIXTY YEARS! The invitation ensemble was elegant, clean and classy with a black and metallic silver color palette. Perfect for the huge party that was filled with family and friends a few weeks ago in Fort Worth.
My grandparents are my heart. My soul. And I am so inspired by their amazing marriage. Thank you and congratulations G&G!

Brand new baby shower invitation, designed with sweet Southern love. I am totally smitten by this design as the grey and yellow color palette, fonts and graphics are gorgeous mix of modern, rustic and vintage styles. It just feels warm and comfy. I totally envision mason jars, picnic tables and gingham patterned linens paired with the food tent signs created to match the invite. Thank you Miranda for the opportunity to design such adorable pieces for the event and CONGRATS to Mommy to-be Leslie!

Simply. Breathtaking. That about sums up this Washington, DC wedding featured on Style Me Pretty today. I had the joy of working with beautiful bride Julie on all of her wedding paper goods, including their profile silhouette save the date’s, wedding invitations, ceremony programs, menus, table cards, weekend event cards, printed canvas guest bags and more! All of the details came together so perfectly and Shelby Leigh Photography captured it all.

What a beautiful couple, on the inside and out. The front of this save the date invitation features one of the couples super dreamy engagement photos taken by Two Pair Photography. And yes, those really are falling wisteria flowers you see in the background of the photo!
For the back of the save the date, we drew inspiration from the historic, wrought iron detailing at their reception site, The Fort Worth Club and the super elegant, feminine style of the bride. A coordinating accommodations card is also part of this pretty package. Kinda makes me wish I could do my own save the dates all over again…

This new shower invitation was created for a fabulous bride getting married this fall in Guatemala! We really wanted to set the stage for their destination wedding through this invitation. Jennifer was inspired by the intricate patterns and bright, bold colors used in Guatemalan fabrics and had the genius idea of using tying this into the design. The outcome is fun, festive and bound to get guests excited about the shower, where they will even be featuring authentic Guatemalan cuisine!

I love when a client comes to me with a fabulous vision yet gives me free reign to “do my thing.” This is exactly the approach bride Tara took with her invitation suite. The inspiration: 1940′s, navy and gold and pinstripes. The overall look turned out to be a perfect mix of traditional, vintage elegance. For extra nostalgia, I incorporated the vintage airmail graphics and postage stamp monogram. I simply adore their custom illustrated map too, which includes the high school where the couple first met. Thank you so much Tara and Zac for the opportunity to design such a fun invitation!

This kitchen shower ensemble has to be one of my most favorite designs yet! Hostess Julie started by giving me the brides color palette, which included about 6-7 very bright and bold colors. I proceeded to probe for more details (as I sometimes do…) and was informed that the bride is the “artsy-whimsy” type. My kinda gal! I knew exactly what do.
The invitation was mailed to guests with a recipe card for them to write down their favorite dish and bring to the shower for the bride. The day of paper goods included a custom coffee menu, “Recipe for a Good Marriage” advice cards and tags for the cookie mix filled mason jar favors. So precious. Thank you Julie and congrats to the bride!
