Tuesdays Table

Don’t you love this time of year? At last it feels like fall has arrived and the simple inspiration behind Tuesday’s Table this week: leaves. Why?  They are free. And pretty.

My favorite things on the table: the gorgeous garden roses, the burlap table runner from Laurie Anna’s and the “work in progress” invitation I have been designing for a client who like me, loves all things natural, organic and vintage. Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays Table

I love old books and for one reason or another, I have been buying them like crazy lately. They make me happy.

Colorful vintage hardbacks are a great way to add a splash of brightness to a neutral setting without breaking the bank. I find most of mine at thrift stores or Half Price books for about $3 each. So on the old farm table we have some things old, somethings new and a handful of Memento Designs paper goods and accessories as well. Tuesday’s Table

Sorry everyone…I know it is a little late in the day to be posting Tuesday’s Table. Believe it or not, I actually put everything together and take the pictures on Tuesday. After all, isn’t that the whole idea??

So, this weeks table is inspired by stationary. As a little girl, I used to collect pretty paper and never write on it. Stickers that never got peeled off the sheet and pencils that I wouldn’t dare sharpen. Apparently, I still do that to this day and it’s no secret. My oldest (not in age) and dearest friend recently sent me a package filled with amazing goodies that she knew I would love. Why did she do this? Because she. is. awesome. So Hayley, you are going to have to help me out with where you found some of these generous treasures!

And for all of you that are a fan of good people with amazing hearts and would like to show your support for Hayley and her struggle with breast cancer,  you should check out her website HERE. Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays Table

Every week something different catches my eye that usually serves as the inspiration behind Tuesday’s Table. It might be a piece of stationary, a vintage teacup, or a scrap of fabric. This week, it was a pear. Strange? Maybe a little but they say one can find inspiration in anything, so here it is. Selecting your favorite in season fruit as the reoccuring element for an event (I’m thinking outdoor wedding or kitchen shower) can really make for a lovely, budget friendly theme.

Tuesdays Table

With fall approaching, I figured I might as well get one last bright pink and mint green Tuesday’s table in while I can. As always, the table is filled with somethings old, somethings new and a few Memento Designs goodies as well.

For a little added flare, I used an oversized sheet of paper from Paper Source as the backdrop and then created a few classic black and white signs to balance the playful colors seen in the other elements.

Tuesdays Table

This weeks table was inspired by two things: Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home and purple. Let me explain.

Last Saturday I visited Laurie Anna’s new space and couldn’t believe my eyes. I was like a kid in a candy store. Everything about Laurie Anna, her staff and her shop is simply divine. As always, I found TONS of amazing new treasures (a carload in fact) and left feeling inspired. I’m loving the new oversized spools of string and the crystal place card holder that doubles as a tiny flower vase. Also from Laurie Anna’s: vintage book pages, cloche lids and cotton drawstring bag. These are just a few goodies of many to come that I will be sharing with you!

Purple: normally a color I shy away from but have a new appreciation for after working with a client who has a deeper meaning and sincere approach to the color. Cheers and happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays Table

I recently found these amazing silhouette profiles of my parents in an old photo album and immediately knew I had to share. They had these made while on their honeymoon over 30 years ago and are now one of my prized vintage possessions.  I chose a variety of black and ivory finds from around the house (you probably recognize the chalkboard from the Style Me Pretty shoot) to compliment the silhouettes. A few new Memento paper goods also accent the table…….I think the doily wine menu is my favorite! For more details on where to find items featured this week, click below to read more. Happy Tuesday!

Tuesday’s Table

Pale pink, grey and robin’s egg blue…the colors that bind this weeks collection of goodies on the old farm table. Everything was built around two of my latest shopping finds that I had to share: the vintage burlap chair and a scarf (from Forever 21!), which is being used as the table runner. The chair is the shabbiest, most worn-out looking piece of furniture I have ever seen. And I love it. I put together a few signs and used antique clip on earrings to attach them to the holders for an extra dose of glamour. Continue reading for more details on where to find items featured this week. Tuesdays Table

A few weeks ago, I had a VERY successful shopping trip to downtown Mckinney. WOW. I found TONS of unique greatness everywhere I went and had to include some of my most favorite finds on this weeks table. Happy Tuesday!

Vintage goblets, silverware, spools of thread, scrabble letters, gravy server: Antique Company Mall

Ring pillow, button invitation, burlap pouch, wine and frosted pink flower accessory, table number card: Memento Designs

Tuesdays Table

This week’s selection of farm table goodies was inspired by these amazing peach lilies. By pulling from almost every room in my house, I was able to find a handful decorative goods and Memento paper pieces to compliment the flowers and create a soft, romantic look. Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays Table

This week the farm table is filled with goodies for the crafty-stationary enthusiast. The weather in Dallas is so gloomy so I choose bright, poppy colors inspired by an adorable “Labels & Stickers” book by Cath Kidston. A variety of notions, Memento paper goods, and useful little objects such as the mini clothes pins by Cavallini & Co. also fill the table. Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays Table

A combination of vintage and homemade goodies dominant the table this week. With no time for shopping lately, I have chosen some of personal ALL-TIME  favorite pieces (such as the gold vintage rose mirror) to share with you. The ivory flourish invitation and creme flower accessory are some new Memento Designs that look fabulous with these vintage inspired accents. The cloche lid, china plate, and hour glass can be found here at Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home.

Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays Table

This weeks table selections were based on natural elements- flowers and fruit. The combination of pinks and purples with pops of citrus green really made for a bright and refreshing summer palette.

Tuesdays Table

Okay, how ’bout “Tuesday’s Chair”? It’s a long story involving rain and camera woes. I won’t bore you with the details.

Featured are some photos previously taken when my camera liked me. A collage of my treasured fabric collection in a variety of vintage prints and colors. Individually or together as a grouping, one of my favorite accents to any table setting and a staple in so many of my designs.   Enjoy!

Tuesday’s Table

A little tabletop inspiration on a VERY windy Tuesday in Dallas!  Managing these goodies outside on the ol’ farm table was quite the struggle indeed.  This Tuesday I was  inspired by the colors on the china plate below- shades of soft pink, robins egg blue and cranberry red. Yummy!

A vintage brooch & twine hug this napkin - a creative way add glamour to a place setting.

The gorgeous white china plate which can be found online here at Laurie Anna’s Vintage Home.

Vintage books and a few handmade shabby chic brooches.

Pearls. We use them to dress up an outfit…..why not use them to dress up a table?

Tuesdays Table

A more traditional look this week featuring my favorite classic colors: red, navy and tan. You just can’t go wrong and I will always have at least one (okay….probably two) rooms in my home built on this pretty palette. As with last week, these pictures feature a variety of finds- some old, some new, with a splash of DIY handmade goodness. Enjoy!
