I recently had the pleasure of throwing a nautical-themed baby (boy) shower for my best friend and college roommate, Meghan. Knowing Meghan the way I do, I knew the paper goods and other decor would need to be traditional, preppy and happy … and they were!
The whole shower was a refreshing take on the traditional nautical look … a crisp palette of blue and yellow was set off by touches of twine and playful life-preservers. Everything was perfect! I hope this inspires you!
What is the most unique baby shower theme you’ve seen?

The invitation set the tone. A monogrammed tag popped next to a decorative, scalloped tag, which mimicked the scalloped-edge pocket envelope. The final touch — a perfect bow in twine. This was so fun to design for Meghan!
The guests sipped bright yellow mimosas with blue-and-white-striped cocktail napkins. The house was covered in soft, blue hydrangeas and yellow roses.
Rainbow fruit kabobs and anchor petit fours from Dallas’ best-kept secret, Casa Linda Bakery, made the perfect sugary pair.
