DIY Pantry Door Makeover

Last week I had the opportunity to share one of my “Lastest and Greatest DIY Projects” on A Well Dressed Home blog. And I’m terrible….in the midst of April wedding madness,  I did not even share the project on my own blog!

I have always wanted to replace our pantry doors, however they are not a standard size and therefore would have to be custom ordered, which = big bucks! I came up with an easy alternative that would add tons of flair to our kitchen on a budget- using magnetic and chalkboard board paint. So here is a snippet of the transformation….to read see more, including step by step instructions, visit A Well Dressed Home!

Before: plain. boring.

After: a conversation piece. a place to hang inspiration, make daily reminders and express what’s on your mind.

Perfect for the eternal graffiti artist like myself or the mom who can’t keep her kids from writing on the walls! Everyone should have their own life size art board.

I completed this project with a few simple materials costing a total of about $40 bucks!

  1. That is a great Idea. I did a something like that for my son when he was a teenager. I made a square of chalkboard on his wall and framed it with CD’s. (when CD started out to be a thing and you got free ones in the mail) it was cool.
    Thanks for sharing…Kimberly

  2. I just did a very similar thing in my kitchen, have a look http://bit.ly/v5LFpI
