Birdcage Shower Invitation

Happy Tuesday everyone! Recently I have received a lot of emails about the Birdcage Baby Shower Invitation. I realized I had never posted another adorable version of this design…so here it is!  This green, pink and blue invite was created for a gender neutral bird themed soiree. So precious. The invitation of course comes with the mailing envelopes, optional address printing and is available in endless color options.

Please email for ordering information.

All Aboard! Toy Train Baby Shower Invitation

Hands down. This is one of my favorite invitations. Ever! I’m not sure if it is the combination of old railroad typography and graphics, the minty shade of green or just the feeling I had when I designed it…..but I loooove this invitation. Congratulations and thank you to new Mommy Jana!

This invitation (like most of my designs!) can be customized to fit your event color scheme. Email for order inquiries.

Elizabeth + Shaun: Save the Date

Save the Date! This is a brand new design was created for love birds Elizabeth and Shaun. I adore their woodsy-romantic-rustic engagement photo taken by M2 Photography. The gorgeous couple will be tying the knot this December in the heart of Philadelphia at the Down Town Club.

Be sure to check back for more E+S wedding paper goodies….we are working on their invitation suite now and it is going to be AH- MAZING!

It’s a Girl!

Well, I have some very special news! I am really excited to share that my husband and I are expecting our first baby…and its a GIRL! She is set to arrive late October and we cannot wait. I am so thankful that my dream of becoming a Mommy is finally coming true. I know this lil baby will be the biggest blessing we’ve ever known…

So of course the nursery planning is in full force! Right now…my ideas are a little all over the place. I love so many things and narrowing it down is super difficult. Despite how excited I have been to decorate a nursery, my indecisiveness has me stalling. Anyone relate?

I have started a Pinterest board titled “Nursery Inspiration” and all of the images below can be found there. Wanna follow me on Pinterest? Just click on link to the right! If you have any ideas, suggestions or resources you want to share for cute baby stuff, please let me know! I would love to hear from you.

Pink Gingham Garden Baby Shower Invitation

Another brand new design, custom created for mommy-to-be Hayley. This look is soft, elegant and traditional…a style that you can’t help but love for a little girl! The look was inspired by the Kristaben bedding mom choose for the nursery. The line is called “Flower Garden” and comes in 4 colors- pink, blue, green and ivory. So precious. I drew a floral design resembling the motif stitched on the bedding and added a gingham pattern to the front and back of the invitation for extra flair. LOVE!

Congratulations Hayley!

“The Perfect Pair” Themed Baby Shower

When I found out my good friend Emily Hewett from A Well Dressed Home was expecting twins AND that she was having a boy and girl, I knew I had to do something extra special for her shower.  It ended up that I not only had the privilege of designing all of the paper goods, but was also one of the hostesses and held the shower at my house too! It truly was a fun day filled with beautiful details and lovely people.

I wanted the invitation to really set the stage for our “Perfect Pair” theme, which was inspired by the lil’ twins themselves. A palette of dusty pink, grey and turquoise and the modern houndstooth pattern continued through to the signage and other paper goods for the event.

And as before any special occasion, I made a trip to LaurieAnna’s Vintage Home in Canton and selected a handful of beautiful dishes and decorative accessories to use at the shower. LOVE.

Congratulations Emily and thank you to the other hostesses for all of your help! Enjoy!

Over 75 baby booties! Grey with brown buttons for the boy and pale pink with a pink bow and button for the lil’ girl.

The invitation was boxed and wrapped with a turquoise ribbon and 2 tags

Each invitation was lined with grey striped tissue paper and included a pair of houndstooth baby booties!

Corresponding wrap around address labels to match. Super chic.

Our main table was filled with all sorts of pretties- the invitation, pairs of baby booties of course, oversized
tissue paper flowers and mercury glassware of all shapes and sizes.

Mercury glass hourglasses from LaurieAnna’s Vintage Home were the perfect touch.
When we added a ribbon and turned them on their side, they looked like rattles!

Pretty candy for guests of course!

To go candy bags with houndstooth tags matching the invitations. Pink and grey striped straws were used for the lemon
water and peach sangria which were served in small mason jars!

Vintage porcelain baby booties decorated the tables throughout and brought the theme to life.

Fruit cups galore! The galvanized tray from LaurieAnna’s was the perfect serving piece for these yummies!

The flowers arrangements consisted of blush roses, blue hydrangeas, cream roses and grey dusty miller leaves.

The cake was made by  The Cake Stand in Mckinney, Texas. They did an
amazing job of creating a design to match the invitation.

The food served was an assortment of Emily’s most craved bits and bites during her pregnancy.

Precious robins egg and white teacups from LaurieAnna’s Vintage Home.

We asked guests to bring a children’s book instead of a card to the shower. Such a cute idea!!

Wishing trees tags filled with words of wisdom and well wishes for the new parents.
A great keepsake for the baby book.

DOT Baby Boy Shower Invitation

This invitation was created for mommy to be Jamie, whose wedding invitations I designed last year! The inspiration behind the design was Alice Kennedy’s Portobello fabric collection. Fresh and sophisticated, Alice’s textiles add a beautiful pop of color to any room. LOVE. I chose to build off of the geometric dotted pattern….and about 1,000 green and white Photoshop circles later….voila!

Thank you so very much hostess with the mostess Lisa and congratulations once again Jamie! I am incredibly thankful to have clients as wonderful as the both of you.

New Love Stamps

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day.

USPS just came out with this years new Love Postage Stamp. It is graceful and perfectly suited for all romantic occasions. I love the swirly script used on this stamp and the bright red…a perfect way to add a pop of color to your envelopes.

In this photo, the newly released stamp is paired with few vintage Love stamps from my collection.

Erin & William: Rustic Texas Wedding Invitation

This is such a special and unique wedding suite I worked on with sweet bride Erin last summer.  We drew inspiration from their wedding venue, located in the Hill Country just outside of Austin and really wanted the invitation to reflect it’s casual elegance and rustic chic style.  Weathered-wood, aged tin, stained concrete floors and amazing Hill Country views…believe me, Vista West Ranch is simply.breathtaking.

My favorite part of this invitation? The envelope liners, which are original pages from one of my vintage books titled “The History of Texas.”  It’s all in the details when it comes to making a wedding invitation fresh and unique and this suite…truly one of a kind.

Shop Talk- Alston’s Old Home Place

Every time I go shopping I am always snapping photos for friends and clients who have asked me to be on the look out for unique finds….whether it be burlap table cloths, vintage china, bridesmaid gifts, floral handkerchiefs or antique wall art. I have about 600 images on my i-phone of beautiful, vintage pretties I’ve found while treasure hunting. Because I can’t bare to delete them, I thought I would start sharing them. Hopefully you will find inspiration and enjoy some of my favorite shopping spots too.

Saturday, I made a visit to Alston’s Old Home Place, located in the Garland’s downtown square. Alston’s is definitely one of my “go-to” favorites. The prices are fair and affordable so I rarely walk away empty handed. Here are some photos I took while purusing through his lovely store and the items I just couldn’t leave without.

Princess Tea Party Baby Shower Invitations

When my lovely client asked me to design shower invitations for a baby girl, I was thrilled. Then she told me the theme: “Princess Tea Party.” Yes, I was like a little kid on Christmas. My goal was to create a design that was soft, elegant and celebratory of all things baby girl, but not childish. About 150 photoshop layers later, the design was complete. A mix of typography, vintage tea cups, crowns and castles make this design fit for the lil’ princess to be.

Thank you Alex and congratulations to Deanna and Jeremy!

Dear Friends invitation + Oh so dear decorating inspiration

Every year, my fabulous friend and client hosts a lovely “Dear Friends” holiday party.  Creating the invitations for the event is always a treat, as Lisa and I could not have a more similar taste for design. This year, the invitations were printed on 110 lb. Crane lettra and paired with a dark grey, metallic envelope. As you will see, the design is perfectly suited for the event setting….Lisa’s divine, vintage-chic cottage home.

Also created for the party were signs labeling all of the yummy food…

And so I MUST share a few photos of Lisa’s swoon worthy, make you want to melt home. Every nook and cranny is filled with unique treasures styled in a way that only Lisa knows how. It is a sight to be seen. And then dream about later.

A few (of many) perfectly placed focal points in the living room

The details just go on forever…even in the kitchen.

And to top it off, there is an adorable chicken coup in the backyard. Need I say more?

Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you so much for stopping by.

DIY Christmas Tree Topper- New and Improved

Last week, I was really excited to begin decorating for the holidays, and then super disappointed when I found that the Christmas tree topper I made last year was in shambles. Almost completely destroyed and crushed from our move. Recover and conquer mode kicks in.  I had to make a new one!

I must say this time around it was much easier to make and turned out even prettier. Again, I only used materials from around my house and yard plus a few purchases from Dollar Tree, such as the eucalyptus leaves and gold dusted pine cones.

For the frame, I used an old lamp shade that I had in my garage. It worked so perfectly and is a strong, sturdy surface for all the goodies surrounding it. No more crushed tree toppers in my future.

Happy holidays everyone. What fun and crafty adventures do you have in the works?

Pretty Things

I feel like it’s been ages since I last set aside a few hours to just play with pretty details….AND then share it with everyone! So what brought this on? Several of the brides I am currently designing for have an affinity for luxury, romantic details, and vintage touches. LOVE! Below are a handful of photos I took of various paper goods, textiles and embellishments to spark inspiration for their designs. I needed this creative therapy.

I will be back soon with some of my new work. There is so much to share. Thank you for dropping by!
